Foldable 35mm Film and Slide Scanner

The Rybozen Mobile Film and Slide Scanner is a compact, foldable device designed for anyone wanting to digitise 35mm slides and negatives using a smartphone. It requires no computer or drivers, making it a simple solution for casual home archiving.

1800 dpi Optical Resolution and Smartphone Limits

The scanner provides a fixed 1800 dpi optical resolution, though final image quality is limited by the smartphone camera used. The built-in LED backlight illuminates film, but the supplier notes the illumination is not very strong, which may affect scans of dense negatives.

Battery-Powered Operation and App Workflow

The unit runs on two AA batteries, which are not included, and pairs with the free Rybozen app for capture, cropping, colour adjustment and direct social-media sharing. Alignment of the phone lens with the viewing hole is manual, and there is no external power or computer interface.
