Flexible Shoe Extension for Dual Accessories

The Rycote 360-Degree Hot Shoe Microphone Extension adds a 4-inch bar to any standard shoe mount. It provides a sturdy platform for attaching two shoe-mount items such as microphones, lights or monitors simultaneously. The accessory is aimed at photographers and videographers who need extra mounting options without shifting the centre of gravity of their rig. Its sleek profile integrates with existing gear while keeping the setup balanced.

Passive Mounting With No Power Draw

As a purely mechanical bracket the extension bar draws no power and generates no heat or noise during operation. It relies on the camera’s shoe for physical support and adds no electronic load to the system. The solid construction keeps attached accessories stable even when the camera is moving. There are no fans, motors or active components to maintain.

Robust Aluminium Build With Twin Shoe Slots

The bar is machined from durable aluminium and features a 360-degree rotating foot that locks into the camera shoe. Two cold-shoe receivers on the top surface accept standard accessories side by side. The rotating base lets you orient the bar horizontally or vertically to suit the shooting situation. A 4.0 star rating reflects consistent reliability in demanding production environments.

Questions about this item

How do I install the Rycote 360-Degree Hot Shoe Microphone Extension and what step do people often get wrong?

Slide the extension bar into your camera's hot shoe until it clicks, then tighten the locking screw firmly; the step often missed is securing that screw, which prevents the bar from rotating or sliding off during use.

What maintenance or replacement will the Rycote 360-Degree Hot Shoe Microphone Extension need later?

Periodically check the locking screw and shoe contacts for looseness or corrosion; tighten the screw if it backs out and clean contacts with a dry brush to maintain reliable accessory mounting.

What limit shows up first on the Rycote 360-Degree Hot Shoe Microphone Extension under sustained use?

The single hot-shoe mounting point bears all leveraged weight from two accessories; exceeding the camera shoe's load rating causes flex or detachment before the bar itself fails.
