Rydbatt 8 Bay AA AAA LCD Charger + 16 AccuPower AA 2900 mAh NiMH Batteries

8 Bay LCD Charger with 16 AA NiMH Cells

This kit combines an eight bay charger for AA and AAA NiMH or NiCd cells with sixteen AccuPower AA batteries rated at 2900 mAh. It suits households, photographers and anyone who regularly powers multiple devices from rechargeable AA cells. The universal 100 to 240 volt AC adaptor makes it usable worldwide without a separate voltage converter.

Simple Drop In Charging With LCD Feedback

Each bay accepts one battery and the charger handles one to eight cells at once. The LCD shows individual charging status for every slot so you can see progress at a glance. Short circuit, reverse polarity and safety timer protections stop the charge automatically. A discharge function refreshes cells before charging and the microprocessor identifies defective batteries that will not hold charge.

NiMH Chemistry And Fixed Charge Currents Define

The charger delivers a fixed 500 mA for AA and 250 mA for AAA cells, so charge times range from three to six hours depending on capacity. It only works with NiMH or NiCd chemistries and cannot charge lithium ion or other battery types. The included AA cells offer up to 1000 recharge cycles and have no memory effect, but the charger cannot revive cells that are permanently damaged or below the detection threshold.
