Short Thunderbolt 3 cable for tight setups

This 7.8 in cable connects two USB-C devices over Thunderbolt 3. It suits anyone linking a laptop to a dock, monitor or external drive that sit close together on a desk. The passive design keeps the cable light and flexible for cramped spaces.

Not for longer runs or active needs

Buyers who need more reach between devices should choose a longer cable. Builders who require active signal conditioning for distances beyond the passive limit will not be served by this length. Users without Thunderbolt 3 ports will not gain Thunderbolt performance from this cable.

Thunderbolt 3 certification and 40 Gbps speed

The cable is Thunderbolt 3 certified and delivers up to 40 Gbps data transfer. It also carries 100 W power delivery at 5 A and 20 V through an E-Marker chip. This combination of certified speed and full power handling decides whether the cable matches the device requirements.
