Portable dock for handheld gaming
The Sabrent DS-RA6P is a 6-port USB-C docking station built for the Asus ROG Ally and other devices with DisplayPort Alternate Mode. It adds an HDMI 2.0 output that supports 4K@60Hz with HDCP 1.4/2.2, three 5Gbps USB-A ports and one USB-C downstream port for peripherals. USB-C PD 3.0 delivers up to 95W so the handheld can charge while in use.
Build integration and freedoms
The dock connects through a single USB-C cable that carries video, data and power simultaneously. It needs an external USB-C charger to supply the 95W PD 3.0 input but removes the need for separate video and USB hubs. The compact footprint leaves desk space free and lets users attach keyboard, mouse, storage and an external display in one step.
Thermals noise and power
The aluminium chassis acts as a passive heatsink so the unit runs silently with no fan noise. Power draw scales with the attached peripherals and the host device charge rate up to the 95W PD 3.0 limit. In typical use with a 4K display and several accessories the dock stays cool to the touch and adds no audible distraction.
