Safavieh Ailyei Beige Runner Rug

The Safavieh Ailyei runner measures 2x6 feet and features a beige polyester surface with a .3 inch memory foam layer. A non-slip PVC dotted backing keeps the rug in place on hard floors. Machine-made construction gives a consistent high-pile plush texture suited to bedrooms, hallways and living rooms.

Upgrade from thin flatweave or worn hallway runners

Replacing a low-profile mat with this 1.7 inch thick sandwich design adds noticeable cushioning and sound absorption. The jump is worth it when you want a softer surface for toddlers, pets or anyone who stands for long periods on cold floors. The memory foam core recovers its shape after compression.

Check floor type and cleaning routine before

The PVC grip dots work best on hardwood, tile or laminate; they may not hold on thick carpet. Vacuum only with a low-powered handheld unit to avoid damaging the long shag fibres. Allow 3-5 days after unpacking for creases to relax and the pile to reach full height.

Questions about this item

How thick is the rug including the memory foam layer?

The rug is 1.7 inches thick overall, with a .3 inch memory foam layer sandwiched between the plush top and the non-slip PVC bottom.

What vacuum setting should I use on the high pile plush surface?

Use only a low-powered handheld vacuum to avoid pulling fibres from the high pile plush construction.

How long should I wait before the creases from vacuum packing disappear?

Lay the rug flat in a ventilated area for 3-5 days so the shag fibres can fully fluff up and temporary creases can relax.
