Outdoor runner for barefoot comfort

The Safavieh Kalafun runner measures 3' x 5' and weighs .93 pounds. Machine-made from 100% polyester, it offers a soft surface for patios, balconies, decks, or RV camping. The beige and off-white striped pattern suits modern and boho outdoor settings.

Water-resistant design frees up cleaning time

Polypropylene construction blocks fading and handles spills with a quick hose-off or shake. The foldable, lightweight build rolls up for compact storage in backpacks or gear bags. A non-slip grip keeps the rug in place on dry surfaces, though caution is advised when wet.

Replaces heavy woven mats that trap moisture

This runner upgrades from bulkier outdoor carpets that stay damp and curl at the edges. The jump is worth it for buyers who need a quick-dry, breathable layer that packs down small for travel. It is not for buyers who want a thick, plush pile for indoor comfort.

Questions about this item

Will the 100% polyester fibres hold their colour after months of sun and rain?

The rug uses weather-resistant backing designed to block fading and keep the pattern sharp through repeated storms and heavy foot traffic.

Does the .93 lb weight and foldable design make it practical for daily carry to a campsite?

At under one pound the runner rolls up compactly, fits in a backpack or gear bag, and adds almost no load for hiking or picnic trips.

What floor type or underlay is needed so the non-slip grip actually works?

The grip performs on any clean, dry hard surface — deck boards, patio tiles, RV flooring — but the rug must be completely dry before laying it down to prevent slipping.
