Rug overview

The Safavieh Wonnitar is a machine-made rectangular area rug measuring 5' x 7' and constructed from 100% polyester pile with a rubber backing. It features a Moroccan-inspired geometric pattern in beige and off-white tones suited to modern or bohemian interiors. The low .15-inch pile keeps the surface smooth underfoot and allows the rug to sit under furniture without obstructing doorways.

Setup check

Verify that the intended floor area accommodates a 5' x 7' rectangle and that the surface is clean, dry and free of wax or high-gloss polish. The non-slip backing grips best on hard floors; on carpet or uneven tile the rug may shift. Allow time for creases from folded packaging to relax, or use a clothing steamer on the lowest setting to speed flattening.

Daily performance

The polyester pile resists shedding and repels stains, so routine vacuuming and prompt spot cleaning keep the surface looking fresh. Machine washing in cold water followed by low-heat drying is supported for deeper refreshes, and the material tolerates pet accidents without retaining odour. The thin profile maintains consistent grip and appearance even in busy entryways or dining spaces.

Questions about this item

Does the rug arrive folded and will the creases disappear?

It is folded for shipping so slight creases are normal; they flatten over time or can be steamed on the lowest setting to speed up the process.

Which pile height should I choose for a doorway that must stay clear?

The 0.15 inch pile is ultra-thin and will not obstruct most doorways, while the 0.2 inch option is slightly thicker but still low-profile.

How does the 0.15 inch pile feel underfoot in a busy living room?

The ultra-thin pile stays flat under furniture and foot traffic, giving a smooth surface that is easy to vacuum and machine wash at 8.4 pounds.
