Eight cylindrical 3.6V lithium ½ AA batteries in a row

SAFT

SAFT LS14250 3.6V 1/2 AA 1200mAh Lithium Battery 8-Pack

SKU CH-MPGD-ZETJV

Eight 3.6 V ½ AA lithium thionyl chloride cells deliver 1200 mAh each, operate from –60 °C to +85 °C, and lose under 1 % capacity per year in storage

  • Reliable long-term power from 1200 mAh lithium thionyl chloride chemistry
  • Stable 3.6 V output maintained across -60 °C to +85 °C range
  • Less than 1 % self-discharge per year enables multi-year shelf life
  • Non-flammable inorganic electrolyte meets IEC 86-4 and EN 50020 safety standards
  • Compact 14.5 mm × 25.25 mm half-AA size fits diverse devices

Eight-cell pack for long-life low-drain devices

This eight-piece set supplies 3.6 V lithium thionyl chloride cells in the ½ AA form factor. Each unit delivers 1200 mAh nominal capacity with a low self-discharge rate below one percent per year at 20 °C. The chemistry suits equipment that must run for years without battery changes.

Bobbin construction and wide temperature range

Concentric electrodes give stable voltage through most of the service life. Operation is specified from −60 °C to +85 °C, and the non-flammable electrolyte resists humid environments. Compliance covers IEC 86-4, EN 50020 intrinsic safety and RoHS directives.

Suited for backup and remote sensors

The pack fits board-level backup, metering, medical, military, aerospace and telecom gear that draws microampere to low milliampere currents. It is not for high-drain applications such as camera flashes or motor-driven devices that need pulse currents above the cell capability.

Questions about this item

How long can the LS14250 cells sit on the shelf before they need replacing?

Self-discharge is less than 1% after one year at 20°C, so the 1200 mAh capacity remains virtually intact for many years of storage.

What voltage sag appears first when the battery runs continuously?

The lithium thionyl chloride chemistry delivers a stable 3.6 V through most of its life, so voltage drop only becomes noticeable near full depletion.

Does the pack generate noticeable heat or draw extra power during all-day operation?

These primary cells produce no heat of their own and consume zero standby current; they simply supply 3.6 V until the 1200 mAh is exhausted.
