The SAFT LS14500 is a 3.6 volt AA lithium thionyl chloride cell rated at 2600 mAh. It suits metering, security and industrial electronics that demand long service life and stable voltage. The hermetic glass-to-metal seal and non-flammable electrolyte support reliable operation in harsh environments. It is not intended for high-drain consumer devices that require sustained currents above the cell's pulse capability.

Pulse Current Limit 200 mA

The cell delivers a typical pulse capability of 200 mA, which restricts its use to low-drain or intermittent-load applications. Continuous operation at higher currents will reduce effective capacity and voltage stability. Designers must ensure the load profile stays within this pulse envelope to avoid premature depletion. Applications needing continuous ampere-level output cannot use this chemistry.

2600 mAh Capacity Wide Temperature Range

The 2600 mAh nominal capacity provides extended runtime for remote sensors and data loggers across an operating range of -60°C to +85°C. Self-discharge remains below 1% per year at +20°C, preserving capacity during long storage or deployment. At extreme cold the available capacity decreases, and the 200 mA pulse limit becomes the governing constraint for reliable operation.
