Sakrete Fast-Setting Concrete Repair

Sakrete 120029 is a fast-setting cement patcher supplied in a pail for horizontal, vertical and overhead concrete repairs. It suits builders and DIY users who need an accelerated set time for patching damaged surfaces. The gray compound is designed for applications down to a featheredge finish.

Simple mixing and application steps

Mix the compound with water following the manufacturer instructions and apply it directly to the prepared area using standard trowelling tools. The rapid set means working time is short, so prepare only the amount you can place quickly. Cold temperatures will slow the cure while hot conditions shorten it further.

Limits of fast-set cement patchers

The product is intended for repair depths from a featheredge up to a practical maximum thickness per layer; deeper voids require multiple lifts. It is not a structural concrete replacement for load-bearing elements such as beams or columns. Freeze-thaw cycles on uncured material can weaken the final bond.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the Sakrete 120029 patcher has cured properly after application?

The material will become hard and rigid, matching the surrounding concrete colour, and will not leave residue when touched once the accelerated set-time completes.

What comes with the Sakrete 120029 pail and what must I purchase separately?

The pail contains the pre-mixed gray repair compound only; you will need to supply clean water, mixing tools, and application equipment such as a trowel or putty knife.

Which version of the Sakrete 120029 should I choose for my repair depth?

The single 120029 formulation handles horizontal, vertical, and overhead repairs at a ½ inch featheredge, so no alternate version is required for those applications.
