Six-Outlet Surge Protector

The Amber Protection strip provides six AC outlets and 1225 joules of surge suppression for home-theatre or office equipment. It is intended for users who need to safeguard a TV, soundbar, streaming box and other peripherals from voltage spikes.

1225-Joule Rating

The single specification that determines suitability is the 1225 joule energy-absorption rating, which indicates how much transient energy the device can divert before its protective components degrade. Buyers with whole-house generators or industrial-grade power conditioning needs will find this capacity insufficient.

Sustained Load Behaviour

Under continuous load the protector passes current through its internal MOV network without active cooling, so its clamping voltage remains stable as long as the connected draw stays within the strip’s 15-amp circuit limit. Repeated high-energy surges will gradually reduce the remaining joule capacity, eventually requiring replacement.

Questions about this item

What does the 1225 joules rating mean for my connected devices?

The 1225 joules rating indicates the total energy the surge protector can absorb before it needs replacing. It handles spikes from lightning or grid switching across all six outlets to shield your TV, soundbar and streaming boxes.

How does the six-outlet design manage multiple high-draw items?

Six grounded outlets let you plug in a 55-inch OLED TV, a soundbar, a gaming console, a streaming stick and two chargers simultaneously. The single circuit shares the 1225 joules capacity across every connected device.

What clearance is needed behind the TV to fit this surge protector with the full-motion mount?

The mount retracts to a 2.4-inch low profile against the wall. Allow enough depth for the surge protector body and cable bend radius so the TV can still extend on its 31-inch arm without strain.
