Galaxy Watch 8 40mm LTE Silver 32GB

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 40mm LTE in Silver is a smartwatch running Wear OS powered by Samsung. It features built-in GPS, cellular connectivity and 32GB of storage. The 1.3-inch round display sits in a lightweight cushion design suited for all-day wear.

Ideal for Android users wanting cellular freedom

This watch suits Android phone owners who want to leave their handset behind while staying connected via LTE. It also fits runners who value real-time coaching and sleep enthusiasts who want advanced coaching. Buyers needing iOS compatibility or a larger display should look elsewhere.

Simple pairing with Android phones via Wear OS

Setup pairs the watch to an Android smartphone through the Galaxy Wearable app and activates the eSIM with a carrier plan. The lightweight band adjusts for a snug fit that keeps heart-rate sensors in contact. A loose strap is the most common cause of inaccurate readings.

Questions about this item

Does the Galaxy Watch 8 40mm LTE require an Android phone to set up and use?

Yes, the watch runs Wear OS powered by Samsung and lists Android as its OS compatibility, so an Android smartphone is needed for initial pairing and ongoing sync.

Will the 40mm band from my older Galaxy Watch fit this 2025 model?

The new model uses a 40mm band width, matching the size used on recent Galaxy Watch releases, so existing 40mm bands should attach without an adapter.

How can I confirm the LTE connection is active after I finish the carrier setup?

Open the quick-settings panel on the 1.3" display; a cellular signal icon with the carrier name appears when the embedded LTE radio is registered on the network.
