Compact foldable smartphone for daily use

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 5G F721U folds to a pocket-sized bar form with a 6.7 inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display running at 120 Hz. It ships with Android 12 and Samsung One UI, 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor handles multitasking and media playback for users who want a compact device that opens to a full-size screen.

Sustained performance under load

The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 maintains clock speeds during extended gaming or video editing sessions without the sharp throttling seen in earlier foldables. Eight gigabytes of RAM keeps multiple apps resident when switching between the folded cover display and the unfolded main screen. Storage remains at 256 GB with no expansion slot, so heavy offline libraries must be managed manually.

Thermals, noise and power draw

The handset has no moving parts, so it runs silently in normal use. The vapour chamber spreads heat across the hinge area, keeping surface temperatures comfortable during 1080p video streaming or 120 Hz scrolling. Battery life covers a typical day of mixed 5G and Wi-Fi use; the included UL approved charger replenishes the cell without proprietary cables.

Questions about this item

Does the 6.7 inch foldable display run hot or make noise during all-day use?

The foldable Dynamic AMOLED panel has no moving parts or fans, so it stays silent; normal warmth under heavy load is typical for a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 phone.

What must I already own to activate this prepaid F721U on my network?

You need an active nano-SIM or eSIM plan from a carrier that supports the phone’s 5G bands; the box includes a UL-approved charger and cable but no SIM.

Will my older Bluetooth headphones and 5 W USB-A charger work with the Z Flip4?

Yes — the phone pairs with any Bluetooth audio device and charges from legacy USB-A adapters, though at slower speeds than the included 10 W brick.
