Foldable 512 GB smartphone

The Galaxy Z Fold4 unfolds to a 7.6 inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 1200 nits peak brightness. It offers 512 GB of internal storage for apps, media and documents. The device supports up to two Nano SIM cards plus an eSIM for flexible connectivity. It is aimed at users who want a single device that works as both a phone and a compact tablet.

Thermals and power in daily use

The handset weighs 263 g and measures 6.3 mm thin when unfolded, expanding to 14.2-15.8 mm when folded. Its aluminium frame and Gorilla Glass Victus+ surfaces dissipate heat during extended sessions. The 120 Hz panel adapts its refresh rate to conserve battery when high motion is not needed. No active cooling or fan noise is present in this form factor.

Build integration and constraints

When folded the unit is 155.1 x 67.1 mm, fitting most pockets; unfolded it spans 155.1 x 130.1 mm for split-screen multitasking. Stylus support is included for note-taking on the inner plastic screen. The Grade C condition means the body may show dents, cracks, chips or scuffs and the display may have scratches or dark spots. Buyers needing a pristine cosmetic appearance should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How do I insert the Nano SIM cards into the Galaxy Z Fold4, and which orientation do people often get wrong?

The tray accepts up to two Nano SIMs; the notch on each card must face the same direction as the tray cut-out, or the card will sit proud and the tray will not close.

Which components on this foldable are most likely to need replacement after extended use?

The plastic inner screen layer and the hinge mechanism bear repeated folding stress; the Gorilla Glass Victus+ outer panels resist scratches but can still crack on impact.

What thermal limit appears first when the 7.6-inch 120Hz display runs at 1200 nits for long periods?

Sustained peak brightness forces the processor to throttle, lowering the 120Hz refresh rate and dimming the panel to protect the 263g chassis from overheating.
