Samsung HVAC thermostat adapter

The MIM-A60UN connects a standard 24VAC thermostat to a Samsung indoor unit, enabling basic power, mode and fan control through the F3-F4 communication line. It is designed for installers who want third-party thermostat integration on compatible Samsung systems.

Central control limitation

When this adapter is active, central controllers such as DMS2, DMS 2.5, MIM-H03UN and MCM-A300N cannot command the indoor unit; they are restricted to monitoring only. A field-supplied 24VAC transformer is required unless the multi-position air handler already provides one.

One adapter per indoor unit

Each indoor unit needs its own MIM-A60UN wired to the F3-F4 line, so a multi-zone installation requires a matching number of adapters. The unit supports one- or two-stage cooling and can be configured for primary heating, secondary heating or cooling-only operation.
