45mm LTE smartwatch with GPS, health sensors and a 1.4″ Super AMOLED display
The Samsung Galaxy Watch3 is a 45mm smartwatch with an embedded SIM for standalone LTE connectivity. It runs on a 1.15GHz dual-core processor with 1GB RAM and 8GB storage. The 1.4-inch Super AMOLED display shows 16M colours at 360 x 360 resolution. Sensors include an optical heart rate monitor, accelerometer, barometer, gyro and light sensor. It supports GPS, Glonass and Galileo for location tracking.
Built-in LTE lets you call, text and stream music without a phone nearby. The optical heart rate sensor can record a 30-second single-lead ECG when paired with a compatible Galaxy smartphone. Bluetooth 5.0 handles A2DP, AVRCP, HFP and HSP profiles for audio and calls. NFC enables contactless payments. The 340mAh battery is rated for more than a day of typical use and supports Wireless Power Share from a compatible Galaxy phone.
This watch suits users who want independent cellular connectivity and advanced health sensors on Android or iOS. Buyers who need longer battery life for multi-day expeditions should look elsewhere. Those who require on-device ECG analysis without a paired Galaxy phone cannot use that feature. People who prefer a smaller case diameter may find the 45mm size too large for daily wear.

The 340mAh cell is sealed inside the 45mm case; Samsung does not publish a cycle-life rating, so plan on professional service if capacity drops noticeably after a year or two of daily charging.
The 340mAh battery will deplete before the 1.15GHz dual-core processor throttles; Samsung rates the watch for more than a day of typical mixed use, but continuous GPS and LTE streaming shorten that window.
The metal case acts as a heat spreader; under sustained LTE and GPS load the back may feel warm but stays within normal skin-contact limits because the 1.15GHz dual-core processor idles between location fixes.
