SanDisk Cruzer Ultra CZ48 128GB Pack

The SanDisk Cruzer Ultra CZ48 is a twin pack of USB 3.0 flash drives delivering 128GB total capacity across two 64GB units. Each compact black drive measures 5.7 x 1.1 x 2.1 cm and weighs just 9 g. They connect via a standard USB 3.0 interface and support transfer speeds of up to 80MB/s. SanDisk SecureAccess software is included for password protection and file encryption on PC platforms.

Who This Suits and Who Should Look Elsewhere

This pack suits users who need portable, duplicated storage for moving photos, videos, songs and documents between computers with USB 3.0 ports. It is not for buyers who require a single high-capacity drive above 128GB or who need sustained write speeds beyond the 80MB/s ceiling. Users dependent on USB 2.0 ports will not see the advertised speed advantage.

Capacity and Headroom

The combined 128GB capacity comfortably holds large media libraries, presentations and graphic files for transport or backup. Each 64GB drive offers ample headroom for everyday file transfers and SecureAccess encrypted folders. The 80MB/s peak transfer rate handles high-resolution photos and HD video moves quickly, though very large multi-gigabyte batches will take proportionally longer to complete.

Questions about this item

Does my computer need a USB 3.0 port to reach the 80 MB/s transfer speed?

The drive delivers up to 80 MB/s when connected to a USB 3.0 port; it will still work on USB 2.0 ports but at the slower 2.0 rate.

Will these two 64 GB drives work on a PC that only has USB 2.0 ports?

Yes, the drives are backward compatible with USB 2.0 ports, so you can use them on older hardware, though transfers will run at USB 2.0 speeds.

How can I verify the SecureAccess encryption is active after I set a password?

Open the SecureAccess vault on the drive; if your files appear inside the encrypted folder and require the password to open, the protection is working.
