What this card is

The SanDisk Extreme SDHC card provides 32GB of storage with UHS-I, U3, Class 10 and V30 ratings. Read speeds reach 100MB/s while shot speeds hit 60MB/s. It is built for cameras and devices that need sustained write performance for 4K UHD video and burst photography.

Check your device first

Verify that your camera, recorder or card reader accepts SDHC cards and supports the UHS-I bus. The 32GB capacity fits the SDHC specification, so older SD-only slots will not recognise it. Confirm that your host device can write at the speeds required for 4K UHD or Full HD recording, as support varies by model and file settings.

Who this suits and who it does not

Photographers and videographers capturing 4K UHD at 3840 x 2160 or Full HD at 1920 x 1080 will benefit from the V30 and U3 sustained write guarantees. Users needing more than 32GB of space or faster transfer rates for high-bitrate workflows should look at larger or higher-tier cards. The card is temperature-proof, waterproof, shockproof and X-ray-proof for rugged use.

Questions about this item

Does the SanDisk Extreme 32GB SDHC card come with a card reader or adapter, or must I buy one separately?

The card is sold alone; a compatible SD card reader or USB adapter must be purchased separately to transfer files to a computer.

Should I choose the 32GB UHS-I U3 V30 version or a different capacity for 4K UHD video recording?

The 32GB UHS-I U3 V30 card supports 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) and Full HD (1920 x 1080) video; choose a larger capacity if you need more recording time.

What does the 100MB/s read speed mean when I use the card in my camera or laptop?

The 100MB/s figure is the maximum transfer speed; actual shot speeds reach up to 60MB/s, and real-world performance depends on the host device.
