Dual USB connectors for phone and PC

The SanDisk Ultra Dual Drive Luxe 1TB flash drive carries both a USB Type-C and a USB Type-A connector on a single all-metal body. It lets you move files directly between a USB-C smartphone or tablet and a Type-A laptop or desktop without an adapter or cloud upload. The drive is new and rated for read speeds up to 150MB/s over USB 3.1 Gen 1.

Replaces separate Type-C and Type-A drives

One drive replaces two older sticks that only fit one port style each. The upgrade is worth it when you regularly transfer photos, videos or documents between a modern USB-C phone and a legacy Type-A computer. USB 3.1 Gen 1 keeps transfers quick enough for large media libraries while the metal casing resists daily pocket wear.

Suits users who switch between USB-C

Photographers, travellers and students who offload shots from a USB-C phone to a Type-A PC will benefit. Buyers who only use USB-C ports or only use Type-A ports gain no advantage from the dual-connector design. Anyone needing write speeds above the quoted read figure or hardware encryption should look at a different drive.

How do I start the automatic backup on this drive?

Install the SanDisk Memory Zone app on your Android device, grant storage permission, then plug in the drive; the app will prompt you to back up photos, videos, music, documents and contacts.
