SanDisk Ultra Fit 512 GB USB 3.1 flash drive

SKU CH-MBG8-QV24Z

A compact USB 3.1 flash drive adds 512 GB of storage with read speeds up to 130 MB/s and writes up to 15 times faster than USB 2.0

  • 512 GB capacity stores large media libraries
  • Read speeds up to 130 MB/s move files quickly
  • Tiny plug-and-stay design stays flush in laptops and consoles
  • 128-bit AES encryption protects private data
  • Up to 15× faster writes than standard USB 2.0 drives

Compact USB 3.1 storage

The SanDisk Ultra Fit is a 512 GB flash drive designed for users who want a tiny, plug-and-stay device to expand capacity on laptops, game consoles or in-car audio systems. Its low-profile black housing stays almost flush with the port, so it can remain connected during transport.

512 GB capacity and USB 3.1 speeds

The drive delivers read speeds up to 130 MB/s and writes up to 15 times faster than standard USB 2.0 drives when used with a USB 3.1 Gen 1 or USB 3.0 port. A 1.2 GB MPEG-4 movie can transfer in under 30 seconds, though actual throughput varies with the host device.

Upgrade from older USB 2.0 sticks

It replaces sluggish USB 2.0 drives that bottleneck file moves and lack hardware encryption. The jump is worth it when you need quick transfers of large media libraries and want 128-bit AES password protection via the included SecureAccess software for Windows 7, 8 and 10.

Questions about this item

Will the 512 GB Ultra Fit drive work on my older laptop that only has USB 2.0 ports?

Yes, the drive is backward compatible with USB 2.0 ports, though read speeds will be limited to the older standard's maximum rather than the 130 MB/s peak.

How can I verify the drive is delivering the advertised 130 MB/s read speed after I plug it in?

Transfer a large file such as a 1.2 GB video while the drive is connected to a USB 3.1 Gen 1 or USB 3.0 port and time the copy; it should finish in roughly 30 seconds.

Does the package include any cables or adapters, or is the SecureAccess software the only extra?

The drive itself is a compact plug-and-stay unit with no cables required; the box includes the drive and SanDisk SecureAccess software for 128-bit AES password protection.
