Questions about this item

Does the all-metal casing of the 512GB Ultra Luxe become noticeably warm during sustained transfers at the rated 400MB/s?

The metal body conducts heat away from the controller, so the drive may feel warm to the touch during long writes, but it remains within normal operating limits for a USB 3.2 Gen 1 flash drive.

Do I need a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port on my computer to use the SDCZ74-512G?

The drive uses a standard USB Type-A connector and works with any USB 2.0 or 3.x Type-A port; a USB 3.2 Gen 1 port is required to reach the 400MB/s read speed.

Will this 512GB drive work reliably on a PC that only has USB 2.0 ports?

Yes, it is fully backward compatible with USB 2.0, though transfer speeds will be limited to the older interface's maximum.
