SKU CH-FWP3-5CR51

A 32 GB USB 3.0 flash drive with 128-bit AES password protection via SanDisk SecureAccess software for Windows and Mac

  • Password-protected private files with SanDisk SecureAccess software
  • 128-bit AES encryption works on Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8 and Mac OS X 10.5+
  • USB 3.0 interface enables fast file transfers
  • 32 GB capacity stores photos, videos and documents
  • Compact flash drive design suits everyday portable storage

Purpose & Audience

The SanDisk Ultra USB 3.0 Flash Drive provides 32GB of portable storage for moving documents, photos and media between devices. It suits students, office workers and home users who need quick, plug-and-play file transfers without installing drivers.

Capacity & Headroom

The 32GB capacity holds thousands of typical documents, a large photo library or several high-definition video files. It runs out when users attempt to store extensive 4K footage, full system backups or large application installers that exceed the available space.

Interface Limits

The drive uses a USB 3.0 connection with backwards compatibility to USB 2.0 ports, so transfer speed is capped by the host controller. SecureAccess software adds 128-bit AES password protection on Windows XP through 8 and Mac OS X 10.5 or later.

Questions about this item

Will the 32GB SanDisk Ultra USB 3.0 drive work with my older laptop that only has USB 2.0 ports?

Yes, the drive is backward compatible with USB 2.0 ports, so it will function normally on your older laptop, although transfer speeds will be limited to the USB 2.0 maximum.

How can I verify the 128-bit AES encryption is active after I set up SanDisk SecureAccess on the drive?

After creating your vault password in SecureAccess, any files dragged into the vault are automatically encrypted; you can confirm by attempting to open a vault file on another PC without the software — it will appear inaccessible.

Does the SDCZ48-032G-A46 package include the SecureAccess software installer or must I download it separately?

The SecureAccess software is not pre-loaded on the drive; you must download the installer from the SanDisk website after plugging the drive in for the first time.
