Outlet Shelf for Sonos One and PLAY:1

The Sanus WSOS1W1 is a wall-mounted shelf that fits directly over a standard electrical outlet. It is designed for Sonos One, PLAY:1, Boost and similar smart speakers weighing up to 10 lbs. The white finish blends with most décor while keeping the speaker off countertops or shelves.

Load Behaviour and Cable Routing

The steel bracket secures to the outlet box with a single screw, transferring the speaker's weight to the wall rather than the receptacle. Integrated channels guide the power cord behind the shelf so cables remain hidden during long-term use. The structure is rated for continuous loads up to the stated 10 lb limit.

Pre-Installation Checks

Verify that the outlet box is firmly anchored to a stud or suitable backing before mounting. Confirm the existing wall plate is either standard or decora style, as both cover types are supplied. Ensure the speaker's base dimensions allow it to sit flat on the shelf surface.

You need a standard or decora-style electrical outlet box; the kit includes both wall-plate covers and only one screw is required.

Can I keep using my original Sonos One or PLAY:1 with this bracket?

Yes — the shelf is designed for Sonos One, PLAY:1 and Boost speakers up to 10 lbs, so your existing unit fits directly.
