NP-40 2-Pack Kit

The Sanyo NP-40 kit supplies two 3.7V 1500mAh lithium-ion batteries and a USB dual-slot charger with a Micro cable. It targets owners of compatible Casio Exilim cameras and select GE, HP, BenQ, Kodak and Pentax models that use the NP-40 or LB-060 form factor.

Replaces OEM NP-40 Cells

The pack replaces original NP-40 or CNP-40 cells and the BC-31L charger, delivering 6.3 Wh per battery. The jump is worth it when a single OEM battery no longer holds enough charge for a full shooting day or when the original charger is lost or limited to one slot.

Dual-Slot USB Charging

The charger powers two batteries simultaneously from any USB source, showing red while charging and blue when full. Built-in protection covers over-charge, over-discharge, over-current, over-voltage, over-temperature and short-circuit conditions. Not for Fuji NP40 cameras or devices requiring a different form factor.

Questions about this item

What size are the NP-40 batteries so I can confirm they fit my Casio Exilim EX-Z850?

Each battery measures 20 mm and is built to the Casio NP-40 form factor used in the EX-Z850, EX-Z1000, EX-Z1050 and EX-Z1080 models.

How do I charge both batteries using the USB dual charger and what mistake should I avoid?

Connect the supplied USB Micro cable to the charger, insert both batteries, and wait for the blue LEDs; the common error is charging before fully discharging them the first time.

When will the 1500 mAh NP-40 batteries need replacing and how can I tell?

After roughly 300 to 500 charge cycles the cells lose capacity; replace them when run-time drops noticeably or the charger shows red for longer than usual.
