4 inch Square Downlight

This Satco recessed fixture is a 7 watt LED downlight with a square aperture and white finish. It operates on 120 volt mains supply and produces a 3000K soft white colour temperature. The integrated junction box allows direct wire installation without a separate housing. It suits residential and light-commercial ceilings where a low-profile square trim is preferred.

Direct Wire Installation

The defining specification is the integrated junction box that enables direct wire connection to branch-circuit wiring. This eliminates the need for a traditional recessed housing or separate driver enclosure. The fixture is IC rated for contact with insulation and is dimmable with compatible wall dimmers. Buyers who require a fixture that mounts to a standard octagon box or who need a non-IC remodel housing cannot use this model.

Dimmable IC Rated Performance

Dimmable operation lets users lower light levels for ambience or energy savings when paired with a suitable dimmer. The IC rating permits the fixture to be covered directly with thermal insulation in the ceiling cavity. Solid-state LED construction provides long service life with no user-replaceable lamps or drivers included. Installers who need field-replaceable light engines or emergency battery backup must specify a different product.
