Pack of five galvanised steel straps that bond copper ground wire to 1/2″–2″ pipes or masts using a set-screw clamp for 10-14 AWG wire
The SatelliteSale SS-GSG9-5 pack supplies five galvanized steel grounding straps, each nine inches long. They create a positive electrical bond between copper ground wires and metal pipes, conduits or ground rods. The straps fit pipe diameters from one-half inch to two inches. A set-screw stud assembly accepts a standard terminal wrench and lets you change ground wires without loosening the clamp.
Galvanized construction resists corrosion for a durable permanent connection in outdoor and indoor installations. The patented curve nut design delivers a reliable, secure grip on the pipe. Each strap is UL Listed, confirming compliance with applicable safety standards. The built-in screw and punched holes accommodate 10 to 14 AWG copper wire for flexible grounding options.
This pack upgrades from makeshift wire wraps or single-use clamps that can loosen over time. The adjustable strap and set-screw stud provide a repeatable, tool-friendly connection for water pipes, CATV drops, satellite masts or meter-panel masts. It is not suited for applications requiring a strap longer than nine inches or for pipe diameters outside the one-half to two-inch range.

Wrap the strap around a 1/2” to 2” pipe, tighten the curve nut with a standard terminal wrench, then insert a 10-14 AWG wire into the punched holes and secure the set-screw stud; the step often missed is fully tightening the set-screw after the wire is seated.
The galvanized steel resists corrosion, but inspect the strap annually for white rust or loose hardware; retighten the curve nut and set-screw if they have backed off, and replace the strap if the steel shows pitting or the threads are stripped.
The 10-14 AWG wire connection and set-screw stud will heat up before the galvanized steel strap itself, so the ampacity of the installed ground wire becomes the practical limit during prolonged fault conditions.
