Questions about this item

How do I install the 5/8" center nut on a 710 steering wheel and what step is often missed?

Thread the stainless steel nut onto the Teleflex helm shaft by hand, then tighten to the specified torque; the step often missed is verifying the wheel is centred before final torque.

What maintenance or replacement will this center nut need over time?

Inspect the stainless steel threads for corrosion or galling each season; replace the nut if the threads show damage or if the nut no longer holds the steering wheel securely.
