A manual motor starter with a 2.5 to 4A adjustable overload range and three-pole switching up to 600V AC
The Schneider Electric GV2P08 is a manual motor starter designed for three-phase motor protection up to 4A. It suits industrial maintenance teams and panel builders needing IEC-compliant overload and short-circuit protection in a single compact unit. The TeSys Deca series device mounts directly on a DIN rail inside control cabinets. It replaces separate fuse and contactor assemblies for simpler wiring.
The dark grey enclosure meets IEC construction standards for industrial environments. A rotary knob on the front provides clear manual on/off and trip-reset operation without opening the cabinet door. Three-pole terminals accept incoming and motor leads for 600V AC maximum circuits. The fixed 2.5 to 4A thermal dial sets the overload threshold without interchangeable heaters.
Confirm the motor full-load current falls within the 2.5 to 4A adjustment range. Check that the supply voltage does not exceed 600V AC and matches the applicable horsepower ratings at 208V, 240V, 480V or 600V three-phase. Ensure the panel has DIN rail space and that the starter’s fixed current range covers the application without needing a different frame size.

The GV2P08 has a maximum voltage rating of 600V AC, which caps the voltage you can apply across its three poles in motor-control circuits.
It covers 2.5 to 4A with three-phase ratings of 3/4 hp at 208V, 1 hp at 240V, 2 hp at 480V and 3 hp at 600V, plus single-phase ratings of 1/8 hp at 120V and 1/3 hp at 240V.
Mount the unit in a suitable enclosure, connect three-phase supply to the line terminals and motor leads to the load terminals, then set the knob to the motor's full-load current; the step most often missed is adjusting that overload dial to match the actual motor current.
