Thermal overload relay protects 3-pole motors at 48–65 A with Class 10 trip and 690 V AC rating
The Schneider Electric LR3D365 is a thermal overload relay designed to protect three-phase motors from excessive current. It mounts directly onto a compatible TeSys Deca contactor, making it suitable for industrial control panels and motor-starter assemblies where reliable overload protection is required.
The single specification that decides fit is the adjustable current setting spanning 48 A to 65 A with a Class 10A trip characteristic. The relay operates at up to 690 V AC and provides one normally-open and one normally-closed auxiliary contact for signalling or interlocking. Screw clamp terminals accept standard wiring for secure connections.
Under continuous overload the thermal element heats progressively, tripping within the Class 10A time band rather than instantly. Automatic and manual reset modes allow the operator to choose between unattended restart and deliberate intervention after the motor cools. The IEC construction without single-phase sensitivity suits balanced three-phase loads where phase-loss detection is handled elsewhere.

The relay protects the motor by tripping when the current exceeds the dial setting you choose between 48 A and 65 A, using a Class 10 thermal curve that allows normal start-up surges.
The 690 V AC maximum voltage rating means the relay can be applied on any three-phase system up to that voltage, but it must not be used on higher-voltage networks.
The relay mounts directly onto Schneider Electric TeSys Deca contactors, using the built-in screw clamp terminals for both power and the 1 NO / 1 NC auxiliary contacts.
