Protects motors by disconnecting power on overcurrent, adjustable from 16 to 24 amperes, Class 10A calibrated, multi-standard certified
This Schneider Electric LRD22 overload relay protects motors by detecting overcurrents and disconnecting power through a paired contactor. It offers an adjustable trip range of 16 to 24 amperes calibrated to Class 10A. The unit carries multi-standard certifications including IEC, UL, CSA, CCC, EAC, ATEX and Marine. It is designed for industrial motor starter assemblies.
This relay suits installations where a TeSys D contactor rated from 9 to 38 amperes is used and the motor full-load current falls within the 16 to 24 ampere window. It is not for circuits requiring a lower or higher trip range, nor for applications that do not use a compatible TeSys D contactor. Buyers needing different current settings should select another LRD model.
The relay comfortably handles motor protection duties within its calibrated 16 to 24 ampere range with Class 10A response. It runs out when the application demands a trip point below 16 amperes or above 24 amperes, or when the contactor exceeds the 38 ampere compatibility limit. The transparent housing allows visual inspection of the mechanism.

The LRD22 is designed for TeSys D contactors rated 9 A through 38 A, so any contactor in that range can be used.
Yes, the relay is calibrated to Class 10A, matching the thermal curve on older starters that specify the same class.
Apply a test current within the 16–24 A range; the 1NC/1NO contacts should change state, confirming correct operation.
