Industrial pushbutton housing

The Schneider Electric XAPG19501 is a die-cast zinc enclosure built for a single 22 mm pushbutton in industrial control panels. Its NEMA 13 and 4 ratings protect the contact block against oil, coolant and splashing water in machine-side locations.

Integrated conduit entry

A 3/4 in conduit opening is moulded into the body so wiring reaches the 2.93 in deep contact block without extra fittings. The grey finish and RoHS compliance simplify specification for panels that must meet restricted-substance requirements.

Single-hole layout constraint

Only one operator fits the 3.03 in high by 3.15 in square footprint, so stations needing multiple buttons require additional enclosures. The fixed hole spacing and conduit size also limit cable-count and gland choices for high-density harnesses.

Questions about this item

Will the 22 mm hole need a specific replacement seal over time?

The enclosure uses a standard 22 mm cutout; replacement operators or seals matching that diameter are widely available for Schneider Electric pushbuttons.

What limits continuous exposure in a NEMA 13 and 4 rated enclosure?

The die-cast zinc body and gasketed cover resist oil, coolant and water ingress; the practical limit is mechanical wear on the installed operator rather than the enclosure itself.

Does the metal body get hot or noisy when mounted on machinery all day?

The enclosure is a passive metal housing with no moving parts or power draw, so it produces no noise and only assumes ambient temperature.
