Professional cinematography filter

The Schneider MPTV 4x5.65" Radiant Soft 4 Rectangular Filter is built for professional photography and cinematography. It delivers a soft, radiant glow to subjects while preserving contrast control. The 4x5.65" rectangular format fits standard matte boxes used in production environments. Part number 68-092656 identifies this specific strength within the series.

Simple matte-box mounting

The rectangular filter slides into a standard 4x5.65" matte box tray without tools or adapters. Careful handling avoids fingerprints on the laminate surface that can affect the softening effect. The planar particle layer is sensitive to pressure, so clean with appropriate lens tissues only. No electrical connections or firmware are involved in the installation.

Consistent glow under hot lights

The two-dimensional particle laminate maintains its diffusion character during extended takes under continuous lighting. Contrast control remains stable without the highlight blooming that increases with heat on lesser filters. Skin-tone rendering stays predictable across long shooting days. The filter is one of seven strengths, allowing matching to varied scene contrast ratios.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the Radiant Soft 4 filter is performing correctly after mounting it in a 4x5.65" matte box?

Look for a soft, radiant glow on subjects with skin imperfections toned down while highlights remain controlled and contrast is preserved — the planar-particle laminate is designed to minimise over-blooming.

What ships with the Schneider MPTV 4x5.65" Radiant Soft 4 Rectangular Filter #68-092656 and what must I source separately?

The filter itself is supplied; a compatible 4x5.65" matte box or filter holder and any required mounting trays are not included and must be purchased separately.

Which Radiant Soft strength should I choose among the seven available for my 4x5.65" setup?

Radiant Soft 4 delivers a moderate glow suited to typical portrait and narrative work; select a lower number for subtler effect or a higher number when stronger halation is desired.
