Wireless Audio Adapter

The Scosche Bluetooth 5.0 adapter adds wireless streaming to any device with a 3.5 mm auxiliary input and a USB power port. It works with televisions, desktop computers, wired headphones, car stereos and home-theatre systems. The dongle weighs 0.041 kg and draws power from a standard USB-A socket. No driver installation is required on any supported platform.

Dual Mode Operation

The single specification that decides compatibility is the 3.5 mm auxiliary jack on your source device. Both the 3.5 mm plug and the USB-A plug must be connected simultaneously for the adapter to function. If your equipment lacks either port, this unit cannot be used.

Included Cable Benefit

A 19.7 inch auxiliary cable is bundled so the adapter can reach ports spaced further apart than the dongle’s own body allows. The cable uses male-to-female 3.5 mm connectors and adds no extra software or licensing requirements.

Questions about this item

How does Bluetooth 5.0 perform when the adapter is plugged into a TV or car stereo?

The adapter uses Bluetooth 5.0 with low-latency technology to deliver a fast, stable wireless link up to 33 ft, so audio stays in sync with video on a TV or car system.

What does the 3.5 mm jack actually connect to in each mode?

In TX mode the 3.5 mm plug feeds audio out of a non-Bluetooth source like a TV; in RX mode it feeds audio into wired headphones or a car aux input.

What must be plugged in for the adapter to power up and fit in place?

Both the USB-A port for 5 V power and the 3.5 mm aux jack must be connected; the included 19.7 in cable reaches most TV, PC or car ports.
