Scosche KM18 Bluetooth 5.4 Car Adapter

The Scosche KM18 is a Bluetooth 5.4 FM transmitter that adds wireless audio streaming and hands-free calling to any vehicle with a 12 V to 24 V power outlet. A flexible gooseneck positions the 1.44 inch LCD display for clear visibility of caller ID, FM frequency and battery voltage.

Flexible mounting for drivers who want

The bendable neck suits motorists who prefer to angle the display away from glare or toward the passenger side. It does not suit buyers who need a fixed low-profile dongle that sits flush with the dashboard or a vent-mounted unit that leaves the power socket free.

Bluetooth 5.4 for stable wireless connection

Bluetooth 5.4 provides faster pairing and a more reliable link than the older 5.0 or 5.3 versions listed for comparable models, reducing drop-outs during calls and music playback.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the KM18 with its 1.44 inch LCD or a model with a larger 1.8 inch colour screen?

The KM18 uses a 1.44 inch LCD that shows caller ID, FM channel, music info and car battery voltage. Models such as the KM30 have a bigger 1.8 inch colour display for more detail. Choose the smaller screen if you want a compact readout that stays in peripheral vision; choose the larger colour screen if you prefer richer graphics.

What does Bluetooth 5.4 actually deliver inside the car?

Bluetooth 5.4 gives a more stable and faster link between phone and adapter, reducing drop-outs during calls and music streaming. It pairs quickly at start-up and maintains the connection while you drive.

The adapter plugs into a 12 V to 24 V socket — what charging speed does that support?

The unit provides a USB Type-A port with fast charging. Compatible phones and tablets can draw up to 54 W total from the charger, while the adapter itself runs on any 12 V to 24 V vehicle supply.
