Practical limits of the adhesive and film

The 2.3 mil film tears cleanly by hand but will stretch or split under heavy tension. Acrylic adhesive bonds well to paper and card yet can lift from dusty, oily or highly textured surfaces. The tape is not acid-free, so long-term contact with archival documents or photographs may cause yellowing over time.

Installation notes and common issues

Rolls fit a standard one-inch core but no dispenser is included, so a separate cutter or hand tearing is required. Users often find the end sticks to the roll after storage; folding a small tab prevents lost starts. Cold temperatures can make the adhesive brittle, leading to poor initial grab until the tape warms to room temperature.
