Universal Rod Holder 289 R-5

The SCOTTY 289 R-5 is a universal rod holder built to secure spinning, baitcasting, spincaster, level wind and fly rods. A pivoting quarter-inch stainless steel lock bar opens for quick rod release and its tension adjusts easily. The mount is sold separately so you can choose the base that fits your boat or kayak.

Check Mount Compatibility First

Verify that you have a compatible SCOTTY mount or a suitable mounting surface before ordering because the holder ships without one. The lock bar pivots on a quarter-inch stainless pin so confirm the rod handle diameter suits the opening. No tools are included for installation.

Stainless Lock Bar Holds Under Load

The quarter-inch stainless steel lock bar resists corrosion and maintains grip during sustained runs or heavy trolling loads. Adjustable tension lets you match the clamping force to the rod weight so the holder stays firm without damaging the blank over long periods.
