Enterprise-capacity 1 TB 7200 RPM SATA drive

The Seagate Constellation ES ST31000524NS is a 3.5-inch internal hard drive built for continuous operation in desktop or entry-level server storage arrays. Each unit delivers 1000 GB of capacity on a SATA 3 Gb/s interface with a 32 MB cache and 7200 RPM spindle speed. The lot contains ten drives suited for RAID sets, backup targets or bulk data archives.

Verify 3 Gb/s SATA ports and 3.5-inch bay clearance

Confirm the host system provides SATA connectors rated for 3 Gb/s operation and has enough 3.5-inch drive bays with adequate airflow for multiple units. The drives draw power from standard SATA power connectors; check that the power supply offers sufficient leads for the quantity you intend to install. No mounting hardware or cables are included in the lot.

Fits multi-drive RAID or JBOD enclosures

Designed for side-by-side deployment, the drives work in RAID controllers, hardware RAID cards or software RAID configurations that accept SATA 3 Gb/s devices. PowerChoice technology helps reduce idle power draw, freeing thermal headroom in densely populated chassis. The 32 MB buffer assists sustained write streams typical of surveillance or backup workloads.
