6 TB Enterprise Hard Drive

The Seagate Exos 7E10 ST6000NM001B is a 6 TB 3.5 inch internal hard drive built for enterprise bulk data applications. It uses a SAS interface with a 12 Gbit/s data transfer rate and spins at 7200 RPM. The drive includes 256 MB of cache and SLC NAND flash memory.

SAS Interface and Cache Benefits

The SAS 12 Gbit/s interface provides the high throughput needed for demanding 247 operations in data centre infrastructures. A 256 MB cache and SLC NAND flash memory support consistent performance during heavy workloads. The drive is rated for a 550 TB per year workload limit and a 2 million hour MTBF.

Standard 3.5 Inch Installation

The drive fits standard 3.5 inch drive bays and connects via standard SAS data and power cables. No special software or drivers are required for the hardware to be recognised by a compatible controller. Ensure the host system supports SAS 12 Gbit/s speeds and provides adequate cooling for continuous operation.
