Enterprise 600 GB SAS drive

The Seagate ST600MM0006 is a 2.5 inch SAS hard drive that spins at 10000 RPM and provides 600 GB of capacity. It targets servers and storage arrays that need fast, consistent access to transactional data.

Bare 2.5 inch form factor

The drive ships as a bare unit with a 6 Gb/s SAS connector and a 64 MB buffer. Its small footprint allows dense drive bays in rackmount chassis, while the dual-port SAS interface supports multipath redundancy for continuous operation.

SAS 6 Gb/s throughput ceiling

The 6 Gb/s link caps sustained transfer rates, so sequential workloads cannot exceed the bus bandwidth. Buyers who need higher throughput or larger single-drive capacities must look beyond this interface generation.
