Silver Storm waterproof encrypted mouse

The Seal Shield STWM042WE is a wireless optical mouse built for outdoor use where moisture and dirt are common. It operates on a 2.4 GHz link with a USB receiver and offers three buttons for basic navigation. The white finish and sealed construction suit users who need a pointing device that survives wet conditions without extra protection.

Practical limits of the 2.4 GHz wireless link

The 2.4 GHz band shares spectrum with many household devices so interference can appear in busy environments. Range is limited by the small USB receiver and line of sight obstacles typical of outdoor settings. The 1000 DPI optical sensor provides adequate precision for general tasks but not for high sensitivity gaming or detailed design work.

Sealed build and everyday implications

The waterproof housing prevents liquid ingress so the mouse can be rinsed or used in rain without damage. Encryption on the wireless link adds a layer of privacy for data transmitted to the receiver. The fixed three button layout and integrated receiver storage keep the package simple for transport and quick setup in the field.
