Product & audience

Escape the Backrooms is a downloadable PC game activated through Steam. Up to four players cooperate to explore over thirty eerie levels inspired by creepypasta lore while avoiding hostile entities. The title releases on 23 October 2025 and requires a 64-bit Windows 8, 10 or 11 system with an Intel Core i3 processor, 8 GB of RAM and a GTX 650 graphics card.

Who it suits & who it does not

The game fits players who want a co-op horror experience built around proximity voice chat and team-based escape mechanics. It is not suited for solo-only players, for buyers in blocked regions such as Russia, China, Iran or Venezuela, or for anyone without a Steam account and a stable internet connection for activation and multiplayer.

Questions about this item

Will the Steam activation code for Escape the Backrooms (model 86032) ever expire or need replacement?

The Steam product code is a permanent licence; once redeemed on your account the game stays in your library with no further codes required.

What is the first hardware bottleneck when running Escape the Backrooms at minimum settings for long sessions?

The 8 GB RAM minimum and GTX 650 graphics target are the limiting factors; sustained play will hit memory and GPU ceilings before the CPU does.

How much heat and fan noise should I expect from my PC while running Escape the Backrooms all day?

The game only requires a GTX 650 and 8 GB RAM, so most modern systems will run it well within thermal limits with minimal extra fan noise.
