Classic Sonic Collection

Sonic Origins Plus on Nintendo Switch gathers four remastered titles — Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic 2, Sonic 3 & Knuckles, and Sonic CD — into one cartridge. The Standard Edition carries an ESRB E rating and targets players who want the classic 2D platformers in widescreen HD with new opening and ending animations. It suits both longtime fans and newcomers looking for the definitive portable bundle.

Two Modes and Extra Content

Classic mode preserves the original resolution and limited lives, while Anniversary mode offers unlimited lives and full-screen widescreen. The package includes previously released add-ons such as Extreme Missions, Mirror Mode, additional letterbox backgrounds, menu animations, and extra music tracks. Four playable characters — Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy Rose — are available across all four games.

Upgrade From Standalone Releases

Owners of individual digital versions gain a single cartridge, the new Amy Rose campaign, and the Anniversary quality-of-life features in one purchase. The jump is worthwhile for anyone who wants physical media, the extra missions, and the convenience of switching titles without leaving the dashboard. Players only interested in a single title may find the bundle more than they need.
