What This Game Is

Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games is a sports party title for Nintendo Switch published by Sega under model TK-77014-8. It carries an ESRB E10+ rating and is sold as a Standard Edition cartridge. The package suits families and casual players who want quick, pick-up-and-play competition.

What It Replaces

This release supersedes earlier Olympic video games by offering 18 distinct events ranging from tennis and soccer to 328.1 ft sprints, basketball and boxing. The jump is worth it for anyone who wants a broader event roster and over 50 costume designs for avatar customisation in a single cartridge.

Installation And Common Issues

The game installs by inserting the cartridge into the Switch slot; no additional download is required for the core 18 events. The main friction point is that local multiplayer demands one Joy-Con per player, so larger groups need extra controllers to join the party.
