Sekonic L-308X-U Flashmate Light Meter #401-305

Compact Light Meter for Photo and Video

The Sekonic L-308X-U Flashmate combines incident and reflected metering in a pocket-sized body for photographers and filmmakers who need one tool for both disciplines. A sliding lumisphere switches between modes while a 40° reception lens captures the scene. It covers 0 to 19.9 EV at ISO 100 and flash readings from f/1.0 to f/90.9 at the same sensitivity.

Works Standalone with No Cables or Mounts

Powered by a single AA battery, the meter needs no external power, tether or hot-shoe connection to operate. Its 1/8000 to 60 second shutter span and wide aperture range free you from carrying separate ambient and flash meters on location or in the studio. The simple three-button layout keeps settings visible without menus.

Replaces Separate Ambient and Flash Meters

If you currently carry two dedicated meters or rely on in-camera metering for flash, this unit consolidates both workflows into one device. The jump is worth it when you regularly switch between continuous lighting and strobes and want a single handheld reference that fits in a shirt pocket. Buyers who need built-in radio triggering or cine-specific frame-rate modes will not find those functions here.
