Product Identity

The Sellstrom S39140 390 Premium Single Crown Face Shield in blue is a piece of personal protective equipment designed for industrial workers who need reliable splash, particle and flying-debris protection. Its extra-large high-impact crown and ratcheting headgear suit users who value adjustable fit and increased air circulation during long shifts.

Thermals Noise Power

The extra-large high-impact blue plastic single crown allows for increased air circulation, helping to reduce heat build-up around the face during extended wear. The ratchet suspension headgear with twist knob enables easy customisation of height and fit without tools. No power draw or noise considerations apply to this passive protective device.

Deciding Specification

The clear acetate window curves naturally to fit facial contours and the assembly meets ANSI Z87.1+ impact standards. Buyers who need a face shield with a different window size, shade or coating should look elsewhere. California Proposition 65 warnings apply for cancer and reproductive harm.

Questions about this item

How do I adjust the ratcheting headgear on the Sellstrom 39140 face shield for a secure fit?

Turn the twist knob on the ratchet suspension to tighten or loosen the headband; the knob also changes the crown height so the shield sits level on your brow.

Which part of the Sellstrom 39140 face shield will need replacement first with regular use?

The clear acetate window scratches and clouds over time; replace it when visibility drops, while the blue crown and ratchet headgear typically last longer.

What protection limit does the Sellstrom 39140 face shield reach first during continuous heavy impact?

The shield meets ANSI Z87.1+ for high-impact resistance; the acetate window will crack or deform before the blue crown or ratchet mechanism fails.
