Precision Laser Distance Meter

The SG SURGOAL laser distance meter measures up to 328ft with ±2.0mm accuracy and a 0.5-second response. A Class II laser (490-690nm, <1mW) provides reliable readings for construction, renovation and real-estate tasks. It stores up to 20 historical records and switches between metric and imperial units.

Power And Safety Checks

Verify that 2×AA 1.5V batteries are installed for operation; a set is included and rated for over 5,000 measurements. The laser auto-shuts off after 30 seconds and the device powers down after 120 seconds of inactivity. Review the safety notice: avoid direct eye exposure and keep the tool away from children.

Sustained Job-Site Use

Continuous measurement mode supports layout work without repeated button presses. Pythagorean 2-point and 3-point functions calculate indirect heights and distances on the spot. Area, volume and addition/subtraction modes reduce manual maths during long sessions. The backlit LCD remains readable in varied lighting conditions.
