Sharp SPC235ABAMZ Digital Alarm Clock

The Sharp SPC235ABAMZ is a compact digital alarm clock designed for bedside, desk or kitchen use. Its small footprint of 4.33 in x 3.81 in x 3.35 in fits easily on a nightstand. It suits adults, children, teens and seniors who want a straightforward timepiece with a built-in charging port. The white LED display and top-mounted USB port keep the layout simple.

2 AMP USB Fast Charge Port

The defining feature is the top-mounted USB port that delivers a 2 AMP fast charge for smartphones or other USB-powered devices. This port is positioned for easy access while the clock sits on a surface. It removes the need for a separate wall charger next to the bed. The clock runs on mains power with battery backup for timekeeping.

White LED Display with Battery Backup

Extra-bright white digits remain readable across a room or in darkness without glasses. Two AAA batteries retain the alarm and time settings during a power outage, and the alarm will still sound while the display goes blank. Buyers who need wireless connectivity, multiple alarm zones or a projection display should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How fast will the 2 AMP USB port actually charge my phone?

The top-mounted USB port delivers up to 2 amps, so most smartphones will charge at their normal wired speed, though exact time depends on the phone's own charging circuitry.

Does the USB port use a standard connector or a proprietary one?

It is a regular USB-A port, so any standard USB-A to Lightning, USB-C or Micro-USB cable you already own will work.

Will the clock fit on a narrow nightstand?

The unit measures 4.33 in wide, 3.81 in deep and 3.35 in high, leaving a small footprint for tight surfaces.
