The EBL 808 charger accepts two to eight AA or AAA nickel-metal-hydride or nickel-cadmium rechargeable cells. An MCU monitors each bay and stops charging if it detects improper voltage, a defective cell, a short circuit or a non-rechargeable battery. The unit operates from AC 100-240 V at 50/60 Hz and ships with a charging cable; batteries are not included.

Sustained Charging Behaviour

The charger uses a -V intellectual cut-off method that switches to trickle charge once cells reach full capacity, preventing over-voltage, over-current and over-heat during long sessions. Constant current delivery at 200 mA for AA and 180 mA for AAA protects cells against current fluctuation. Full-load power draw is 5 W maximum and no-load consumption is 1 W maximum.
