Adapter for A+E key WiFi modules
This adapter converts an A+E key or E key M.2 NGFF PCIe wireless card to an M.2 Key-M NVME slot. It is designed for builders who want to install a compatible WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 module in a Key-M socket. The board only changes the physical interface and does not alter the module's performance. It does not support CNVI protocol cards.
Passive thermal and power profile
The adapter has no active cooling and draws no additional power beyond the wireless module itself. In normal use it adds no audible noise and introduces negligible thermal load to the system. Power consumption remains entirely dependent on the installed WiFi 6 card. No extra connectors or external supply are required.
Sustained load behaviour
Under continuous data transfer the adapter simply passes signals between the module and the Key-M slot without throttling. It imposes no bandwidth limit of its own. Builders using AMD motherboards should verify module compatibility before purchase. The adapter cannot make an incompatible card work on any platform.

Questions about this item
How do I install the AX200 module onto the adapter and secure it in an M.2 Key-M slot?
Insert the AX200 module into the A/E-key socket on the adapter, fasten the mounting screw, then plug the whole assembly into the motherboard M.2 Key-M slot and secure it with the standoff screw.
Will the AX200 module or adapter need firmware updates or component replacement over time?
The adapter is a passive riser with no firmware; only the AX200 module may receive driver or firmware updates from the OS vendor.
What is the first limit reached under sustained Wifi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 traffic?
Thermal throttling on the AX200 module itself is the first limit, since the adapter adds no active cooling.
